1 – Pulleys
A wheel on an axle fitted to the box frame to allow the sash cord or chains to move the sash weights.
2 – Stops
Fitted to the stiles these allow for either additional security or a night vent facility depending on the standard of sash stop fitted.
3 – Steel & Lead Weights
These are the weights that are fitted into the weight channel and act as a counter balance to the sash window.

These are a replacement for sash weights, cord / chain and pulleys and hold the window in the desired position when open

These are fitted to the mid rail of the bottom sash and the top rail of
the top sash and facilitate the movement of the windows, these also
come in different styles and finishes.
7 – Cords and Chains
The sash weight is connected to the sash via either a cord or a chain depending on the weight of the sash window.
8 – Window Seals
These come in various different forms and fit in specific places around the sash window to give a fully weather sealed sash.
